Did you know?

The Su Dog 300 is a grass-roots, non-profit group of mushing enthusiasts that is funded through small donations and local business sponsorships. Our goal is to promote dog mushing in the community and bring people together to celebrate the history of the sport in this area. It takes a hefty sum to put on a dog race that is safe and supportive for all its participants, even the smallest donations help support this big event!

Where do donations go?
100% of your donations go directly to the non-profit organization, Su Dog 300, INC. EIN# 99-2621451. The entirety of the race is put on by volunteers, your donations go towards race supplies:

  • Straw for dog teams at the checkpoints

  • Over 6,000 stakes to mark the trail

  • Gas for the trail crew’s snow machines as they scout, build, cut, mark and pack the trail

  • Safety trackers for each team. This allows us to track team’s progress and respond in emergencies. It also allows fans to watch the race in real time!

  • Hospitality items to keep our volunteers comfortable out on the trail, at road crossings, checkpoints and the start/finish lines such as hand warmers, clipboards, high-visibility vests, and snacks!
