My wife and I own and operate Susitna Sled Dog Adventures, near Talkeetna, where we do tours with our dogs year round. AddieAnn Randall
Rock On Racing
Lead Dog:
Skipper White Brave Slate
Musher Bio:
My family and I race and do tours with our kennel of 45 sled dogs in Caswell, Alaska. My favorite thing about running dogs is the trust that develops between my team and I. I am a born and raised Alaskan. For a year and half my family and I lived in an 8x12 cabin on the Denali Highway, and we mushed our team 65 miles to get to races in the winter. When I’m not mushing I enjoy bikejoring, paddle boarding, hiking, fishing, and hunting.

Annette Llanes
Honky Tonk Kennel
Lead Dogs:
Astrid and Riata
Musher Bio:
I have been involved with sled dogs since 2016. I started out mainly runnings dogs with other mushing friends and being on the vet team for races (Yukon quest 1,000mile and shorter quest races, copper basin 300 and Kuskokwim 300). My wife and I finally started our own kennel in 2022 with a menagerie of dogs from all over. Then in 2024 we had two litters of pups hit the ground and hopefully that will be the bulk of the team running in the SuDog this year! Our kennel slogan is that we are here for a good time and that is fully what we intend to do with a team full of pups on their first 300-mile race!

Emily Krol
Kashwitna Kennel
Lead Dog:
Titan
Musher Bio:
My life in Alaska started nearly 20 years ago for what was meant to be a short stay—but after the chance to mush a dog team, I never looked back. That moment sparked a passion that made Alaska my permanent home. Since then, I’ve been deeply involved in the mushing community— volunteering at races, handling for other mushers, and running a few races myself. All those years of experiences have led me to owning a small kennel with my partner, Josh. This will be my first 300-mile race, and I’m looking forward to the adventures ahead!

Drax, equally accomplished, is our calm dragon. He joins the team from Seeing Double Sled Dog Racing to help guide our first home grown yearling team to the finish line.
Musher Bio:
Ashley Franklin, 35, co-manages Orange Blossom Kennel in Fairbanks, Alaska alongside her husband, Jay Allyn. Named after the Florida state flower, the kennel references Ashley’s southern roots. Her journey began with Bozo, a retired sled dog who became both her first dog and the foundation of the kennel. Ashley has steadily grown her team and skills, competing in a range of short and mid-distance races, including the Two Rivers Solstice 50, the Quest 80 and 200, and the Knik 200. She finds a familiar rhythm in mushing that echoes her background in competitive rowing. When she’s not training dogs, Ashley works full-time as a family medicine physician. She balances both worlds with the help of friends and family. Outside of dog sledding, her interests include running, skiing, reading, weaving, and gardening.

David Hassilev
Mail Trail Kennel
Lead Dogs:
Cinder, Sam, Ash
Musher Bio:
David Hassilev lives in Willow Alaska and operates Mail Trail Kennel with his wife, Jane. David started running dogs over ten years ago while living in Washington state. He started with a single Chinook dog running in one dog scooter and bikejor events after attending a pull clinic held by the Cascade Sled Dog club in Oregon. He continued to learn while attending dryland races and slowly adding dogs to be able to compete in 2 dog dryland class and then 4 dog dryland rig as well as winter sled races in Washington, Idaho and Montana. It was shortly after racing a friends team of six Alaskan Huskies at the Flathead Classic in Montana that he was gifted 4 well-seasoned Alaskan Huskies and the kennel just kept growing from there. A few more smaller races and a few more dogs as well as raising a litter of his own and he was able to put together a young 8 dog team, taking 2nd in his first 100 mile race at Oregon’s Eagle Cap Extreme. He has also raced in Montana’s Race to The Sky before moving back to Alaska in 2019. Since then he has raced in the Goose Bay 150, Knik100 and Willow300 and currently has 18 dogs in training.
